Snus is a moist powder tobacco product from Sweden, placed under the upper lip. Unlike American dipping tobacco, snus doesn't require spitting, as the tobacco is steam-pasteurized, lowering nitrosamine levels. It's sold in loose or portioned forms, with a peppery, salty taste. Users typically enjoy it for a steady nicotine release and the cultural tradition of 'snusing'.
